Each year the SCMA presents the Cloke-Millen Peacemaker Award to an individual or organization in the dispute resolution community who inspires us through their passion and dedication to peacemaking.

Inaugural Young Peacemaker Award
Presented by Kids Managing Conflict, SCMA Education Foundation, The Young Peacemakers Award recognizes an outstanding Peer Mediator from a Southern California School for their contribution to their fellow students and school.
We are excited to collaborate with the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution, Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), and Mediate.com for the convening of our 2019 Annual Mediation Conference. 2018 Conference Highlight Videos
On November 2-3, 2018, SCMA hosted its 30th Annual Fall Conference in Downtown Los Angeles. The theme of the conference was “Striving for Excellence: The Emergence of the Modern Mediator.” Almost 300 mediators, peacekeepers, educators, students and more attended the event. We brought together over 40 speakers to educate attendees on a wide variety of topics. Our conference continues to have broad reach drawing attendees from all over the U.S. and abroad.
