Erika Doherty serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the State Bar of California. In this role, she helps oversee the licensing, regulation, and discipline of California attorneys, while working to advance the State Bar’s mission of public protection and promoting access to legal services.
She has worked in a variety of leadership capacities at the State Bar, including as the Program Director and the Managing Attorney in the Office of Professional Competence, as a Senior Attorney in the State Bar Court, as an Assistant General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel. She also was an attorney for the California Supreme Court’s Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions.
Ms. Doherty received her Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law.
